The Qur'an (2:183) states:
"O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (pious/enlightened)."I wish my Muslim sisters and brothers Ramadan Mubarak and well over the fast.
Onward!

Happy Ramadan Ridwan.
It sure came early this year.
Be well, always
Dione
Thank you kindly Dione.
I trust you are well. Holla when you can.
Peace to you.
Ridwan
Yep. Maty started fasting this morning.
I know she appreciates your good wishes, Ridwan. But how about sending some my way? I've gotta endure her grouchiness from being hungry!
:-)
Dade
I hear you brother :0)
But please tell Maty I said Ramadan Mubarak and that I wish her well over the fast.
I am also sending you positive energy brother Dade.
On another note, I thought about you and Maty last night when I read this passage in the second chapter of the Quran (Al Baqara: 60). It deals directly with who are believers:
(61) Those who believe (in the Qur'an) and those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures) and the Christians and the Sabians, any who believe in Allah and the Last Day and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
There are other verses that speak to the same principle throughout the Quran.
We are all one and the Quran rejects the idea that only Muslims are believers.
Be well Dade.
Peace,
Ridwan
Hey, Ridwan!
Thanks so much for these kind words. I read them to Maty, too.
And she asked me to say Ramadan Mubarak to you, as well.
Maty and I are both grateful for your friendship.
Dade
You are most welcome my brother.
I too am grateful for your friendship and look forward to being in your and Maty's company someday soon.
Be well Dade and thank Maty for me.
Peace,
Ridwan
