Israel: We May Have Used White Phosphorus

Israel has seemingly decided to stop lying about its use of white phosphorus in Gaza. It now says that a reserve paratroop brigade may have fired as many as 20 shells into Gaza according to a Guardian report.

So what brought on this sudden confession? Well the evidence really.

It is very hard to cover the fact that Israel shelled a UN compound with at least 3 shells of white phosphorus on January 15 and then almost immediately repeated its action by doing the same to al-Quds hospital in Gaza City.

The use of white phosphorus as a weapon is prohibited by international law (Geneva Conventions) and one can clearly see that Israel is worried.

So, what we are seeing is Israel running to cover its genocidal ass. We should expect to see the "internal inquiry" they launched to find that the reserve paratroop brigage acted outside of official orders ... blah blah blah and some more blah.

The same old tired sh*t will be repackaged as the dominant narrative, that being that Israel did not intend to launch an inhumane war in Gaza, it was merely protecting itself by accurately bombing Gaza for their own good and the good of Israel.

I expect that President Obama will help Israel duck any substantive charges of war crimes tied to white phosphorus or any other related charge.

Israel is, after all, the US's number one ally in the Middle East according to Barry. And Israel did show how much it cared about the US by ending its War on Gaza just in time for Barry's swearing in.

In the meantime, doctors in Gaza are dealing with phosphorus burn victims while Israel constructs an alibi to escape international sanctions for war crimes.

We'll see what happens. If Obama attempts to sweep this under the rug... I don't want to think about it.

I just pray that he won't. I pray that he is better than Bush.

Thanks for keeping me informed, Ridwan.
