Buddha On Truth, Peace, and Joy

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth."

"Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without."

"We are formed and molded by our thoughts. Those whose minds are shaped by selfless thoughts give joy when they speak or act. Joy follows them like a shadow that never leaves them."

Onward!

Beautiful and wise truths. So simple, yet so difficult to put into practice.

Hello Dade:

These are indeed wise truths. I started to think them through, again, after my most recent comments on your blog.

I promised myself, again, not to get too riled about comments that offend my being and my politcs/religion.

That anonymous commentator I responded to made me momentarily forget my promise.

Still, I think it was important to stand against his/her nonsense.

Thanks for the forum you provide. Yours is still one of my most favourite blogs.

Be well brother.

Peace and struggle,
Ridwan

These aims translate well across culture, race, and religion. Thank you for including these in my day.

The part about the inner peace calls to mind a line from Romeo and Juliet, "peace...I hate the word." When wrongs are swept under the rug for the sake of peace, it is not really peace at all, at least in my mind and heart.

Thank you Shusli for your comment.

I absolutely agree that there can be no real peace when injustice persists.

Peace to you my sista.
