In his memoir (which some wise people have already moved in bookstores to the CRIME section) George W. Bush admitted that he authorized that detainees be waterboarded, tortured, a crime under US and international law.
Bush’s crime confession coincides with reports that no one will face criminal charges from the US Department of Justice for the destruction of 92 CIA videotapes which contained interrogations using waterboarding.
Where is the accountability for these crimes?
Bush and other criminals will be brought to justice if the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) have their way.
CCR and ECCHR jointly intervened into a criminal investigation in Spain examining the role of former civilian and military officials from the Bush administration in the commission of international law violations, including torture. The investigation is ongoing and includes the crimes that Bush admitted he authorized.
CCR and ECCHR made it clear that they are committed to pursuing criminal accountability and Bush’s confessions help.

War criminal should face a tribunal!
I'm am so fed-up with having to play by the rules that the US concocts but they themselves refuse to abide by! They want to indict a sitting African president for war crimes but revoke their signature of the Rome Statute and campaign against the ICC to save their own skins! (of course this happened during Bush's administration - the devil knew he was guilty)
They want the rest of the world to be nuclear free but they can build an arsenal large enough to destroy the galaxy! They're only part of the UN as long as they have veto power and have their panties in a bunch because the ICC has an independent prosecutor instead of one bound by their veto!
I pray to God that I'm alive to see the day the mighty fall! Its time we changed the rules of the game and started our own NEW WORLD ORDER - not bush daddy's version.

I expect that Bush knows nothing will come out of his 'confession'. Henry Kissinger walks free across the globe despite his brutal role in Vietnam.
Condi Rice and Cheney and the gang are all free while the lie that brought us to the devastation of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and more (Yemen on the cards) stands.
Bashir is a front for the US. One that allows it to continue its meddling and destabilizing via AFRICOM and more.
Yesterday this post and the one on Oklahoma below drew a new round of violent threats with its usual "death to all Muslims" diatribe.
There are 'patriots' among the populace in the US that wage their immoral and greedy interests/wars even here.
In sum, I was told to mind my own business and stay out of the US's business.
This mindset is deranged and should be dismissed as that of fringe lunatics but then again it does look a lot like what comes out of DC anyway.
US imperialism is a disease and the consequences dire for the rest of us and for them.
Like any other bully, there will be a lot of kicking and pushing before humpty falls.

Remember right after 9/11 when Americans were asking "why do they hate us?"
It took a couple of weeks of asking "are we too selfish?" and "have we lost our moral leadership?" and then it was back to business as usual.
I was living in Portland around the time of 9/11 and it was quite revealing to see Americans having to look really deeper than "we are the greatest nation" and the usual bragging and boisterousness.
That did not last too long too.
It is business as usual, again.

Think you know outrage? Imagine how it is for Americans who must sit idly by while Junior Bush peddles his idiot book, while publicly admitting to authorizing torture!

Over the years that I have been reading your blog it has been clear that you feel no love for that genocidal maniac and his co-conspirators.
I know it is rough on those who must live in the huge shadow of the arrogant.
I think a movement must rise to bring Bush and company to justice and it must do so inside the US.
