Funky Friday

As the televised scenes of NATO brutality mark yet another whiteness invasion under the guise of democracy we are told it is a revolution.

Arm chair experts muscled by CNN analysis pontificate inside a vacuum of distance.

"My life is better because Saddam is in hell and Obama wages war for peace ... "

In front of the idiot box there are tens of millions upon millions of living dead who need packaged motions to know how to think and how to feel.

The capitalized and invisible offer their "manufactured consent" as they live to meet markers that say "you have arrived, you are the departed" so fill your empty existence with thoughts of a big fast car and a cell phone with cropped pictures of your life you did not take.

With twitters and texts and digital manipulations the new unthinking philosophical mantra is: I consume therefore I exist.

Buy into another set of emotions.  Sell your awareness.  Buy your sameness.  Sell your freedom.

Don't worry though, you are capitalized, sophisticated, connected, and oh so irrelevant.

Gill Scott-Heron (1949-2011)
The revolution that Gil Scott-Heron dreamed does not exist because it is not packaged for this reality.

A reality that cares less about the waste of life in the sands of deserts flung far away enough not to really matter or to interfere with keeping up to speed with what the Kardashians are doing with their vaginas.

It is all for profit this non-existence.

For the revolution to be televised it will have to be brought to you by Xerox, Coke, Pepsi, Nike, Samsung, BlackBerry, BMW, GM ...

But don't worry.  It won't be on E! or anywhere else.  There can be no real revolution inside of capitalized spaces.

"... The revolution will not be right back
after a message about a white tornado, white lightning, or white people.
You will not have to worry about a dove in your
bedroom, a tiger in your tank, or the giant in your toilet bowl.
The revolution will not go better with Coke.
The revolution will not fight the germs that may cause bad breath.
The revolution will put you in the driver's seat.

The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised,
will not be televised, will not be televised.
The revolution will be no re-run brothers;
The revolution will be live ..."

Onward!

Ps. "The revolution will not give your mouth sex appeal (and) the revolution will not make you look five pounds thinner ..."

Did you have to mention the Kardashians? Ughhh those heffas gets on my last everlasting nerve.

I read the 15 year old sister opted her schooling over a $20,000 modeling gig. Proof that there is a smart one in the family.

And Mr.Heron was one of the best.

Hola Erica:

Now why did I know you would not be a fan of those sisters? :0)

Yesterday I talked to someone who even had a favorite sister! And the brother is someone close to me.

They are everywhere. A sign of the emptiness.

Thanks for your comment.

Oh yeah, I was reading this quote by Gil Scot-Heron and thought it should go up on the left of the screen:

"No matter how far wrong you've gone, you can always turn around."

Redemptive thinking huh? I like second seconds :0)

Onward!

SLM Aasia you cracks me up.

The CIA/FBI are putting those word verifications in ... :0)

Thank you for your kind comment.

When we talked today I was wondering which article(s) you may have in mind.

Did not want to ask and confirm my vanity to you, again.

But you make me feel so ... ummm special, thanks Aasia :0)

I should say that I was worried you may have been jiving and telling me in your understated way that you thought the worms article was whack ;0)

Hey I am paranoid but the CIA/FBI thang is probably true.

Will holla your way.

And I am holding you to your promise to visit 'dust by the hole'.

See and now it is public too.

Peace Aasia,
Ridwan
