Arrest Bush during Africa trip: Amnesty International

Times Live
December 2, 2011.

Amnesty International called on Ethiopia, Tanzania and Zambia on Thursday to arrest former U.S. President George W. Bush for human rights violations when he visits Africa this month.

As president from 2001 to 2009, Bush authorized the use of water boarding and other interrogation techniques that Amnesty and other human rights groups consider torture.

"International law requires that there be no safe haven for those responsible for torture; Ethiopia, Tanzania and Zambia must seize this opportunity to fulfill their obligations and end the impunity George W. Bush has so far enjoyed," Matt Pollard, senior legal adviser, said in a statement.

In February, rights groups said Bush canceled a visit to Switzerland because of the threat of legal action against him for alleged torture. Organizers of that event said they were canceling Bush's participation on security grounds, not because of the criminal complaints.

Bush has defended the use of water boarding - which simulates the sensation of drowning - on captured extremists as key to preventing a repeat of the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.
The U.S. Department of State had no immediate comment.

Bush is expected to visit Africa this week to raise awareness about cancer in the region, Amnesty said.

Comment:  And the chances of that happening are less than zero!

Still, I like that Amnesty International is raising this issue even if the three countries that the murdering-election-thief will be visiting are ostensibly attached to the ass of the US by super glue.

Inside of Ethiopia there are black hole sites that Bush used to practice his extraordinary rendition. They obviously got paid for that.

Ethiopia is a sell out post-colonized vacuous state that is more likely to kiss the ass of this murderer than stand up for what is right.

African leaders can be bought (see Kenya and Botswana especially) and most will sell their people out for not much.  It is a truism that goes back to slavery when too many of our own sold Africans into the European slave trade without a fleck of worry.

Is there one state on the continent that would arrest Bush and his fellow murderers for crimes against humanity?

Name one.

South Africa?  Please broer.  We are such pliant niggas.  We define the term "sellout".

This Christmas I am gonna send President Jacob Zuma, and every other president on the continent, a copy of Fanon's "Wretched of the Earth" and "Black Skins, White Masks" as a kind of self-help manual.

These colonized fools need to be reminded that there are more than a few of us who recognize that their ass-kissing politics is the reason why we are such a f*cked up continent.

Yo' I'm gonna be broke, again.  But at least I will sleep a little easier.

Onward!
