Eric Webb

Angela just let me know that Eric Webb (24), the young man in the white t-shirt and shorts, was killed in a motorcyle accident last night.

A news report says that he died at the scene of the accident.

Eric was one of my favourite students at PSU. Everyone called him Lil'E in affectionate terms. He made me laugh and impressed me with his dedication to his studies.

Eric leaves behind a wife and two daughters. My heart goes out to his family.

Fellow students and friends can contact Angela Canton (503-725-9082) in Black Studies for more information.

May God rest Eric's soul. Life was no doubt too short for this very talented brother.

Peace dear brother Erica!

***UPDATE(October 1)***
Read an OregonLive.com news report on Eric Webb and his ambition to become a police officer.

My name is Kell Goodman and I met Mr. Webb at the SEI summer program this summer. To me he was a person with a great personality. He always made people laugh and never didn't smile. R.I.P Eric Webb.

Eric was one of my favorites also. I really appreciated his view and loved to listen to him talk. I did not know he was working on becoming a police officer, I would have felt very safe and proud to have him on the force. I am so sad, he was a special person and will be missed. Condolences to his family, especially to his two little girls.

I knew Sir Eric Webb for twelve years of my life. You see Eric and I went the same church and grew up together. Crusaders Temple C.O.G.I.C, we were childhood church friends.

Eric was always this positive beautiful, light of energy. He was always funny, willing to help, kind to anyone that came his way.

He loved his family very much especially his younger brothers always looking after them and caring for others. He loved basketball, school, life, church, but the most important thing, he loved God with all his heart, mind, soul, and spirit, even when things got hard, nor he understand.

Now that I look back, I have never seen him without a smile or even a laugh.

I am sort of him jealous right now, he is in the land of the living, in the arms of his and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he doesn't have to worry about anything or hurt anymore. Everything is alright now.

My thoughts and my prayers goes toward his wife and children, as well as his family and his friends, or anyone who was touched by him. Just know and have a hope that we have been made endure for a night, but joy commeth in the morning. We will see him again, he has transitioned over to the land of the living, no longer the land of the dying where we are. Untill then, let us press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling which is always in Christ Jesus.

That is what Jesus would want us to do, and that is what Eric has done.

I am blessed beyond measure, that I came across an angel, because that doesn't happen every single day. I am forever greatful to God for Eric M Webb.

I love you Eric, and we shall meet again on that great day, and a great day that will be.

Much Love,
Cherese Rose
