Ashland (Oregon) based Brammo Motorsports announced yesterday that it has secured $10 million to start production of its Brammo Enertia electric motorcycle.
Brammo's website says the bike will get 45miles between charges. I have not seen performance figures and will be interested to know what the Enertia can do.
These are early days for electric motorcycles but it is a good sign. Most folks who do not ride will be surprised to know that some petrol motorcycles are not necessarily fuel efficient.
Nontheless, electric motorcycles are gonna be all the rage ... at least among the coffee shop granola set ... could not help myself it is Ashland after all ;0)
To win over the rest ... the performance and style will have to be right.
